June Buzz Night
Anyway, we got to mayric's at around 11. Before that, joel had been texting us that nobody was there... and ekong was asking if buzz night was still pushing through. so we were kind of nervous along the way if the night would be a success just because it would be so hard to get to mayric's on such a night.
when we arrived, there were a lot more people than i had expected--- basically, the usual size of crowds at buzz night. allan and i were just relieved that the bands had arrived and so sunset drive (being the early birds) started off the night. i liked their set that night. something about the guitars just appealed to me. they were followed by bagetsafonik. not exactly a perfect set, probably rattled by the rain, but the guitars were great and i absolutely loved the last song, "halogen".
next played orf, our drummer kiel's three-piece band. i was surprised to find out that they played originals, which were pretty ok. someone even approached me and asked what the name of their band was. hanep nga tong si kiel. sabi ni allan, "emo pala boses ni kiel!" hehehe. pero astig. multitalented. indie na, punk pa, hardcore pa----- songer pa!

then played candyaudioline. we played a perfect set that night and gave the crowd with 8 songs, plus some long-hibernating ones like "pretend we're smart". good anniversary gig. after us, popular days played, also really well, plus with ian their bassist, who hasn't been to buzz night in 4 or 6 months due to his being from another land far far away. finally, poopoo vox took the stage and ended the night with a very placado but very senti-ly appreciated "everlong". senti counts, you know.
gracing us with their presence were candy alumni kelvin and joey, to whom we will of course always be grateful for their contribution to the band. and thanks to roel too for his support. and to joel for handling buzz while allan was out. it was too bad that our friends tether couldn't play that night because of their drummer having health problems, but at least he's ok now. other bands couldn't make it, presumably due to the rain and other unavoidable circumstances.
the guys sealed the night with a colasa soiree (buy your own ___).

70's Bistro
Last night, we played a laid-back set at 70's Bistro fronting for Backbeat bands. "Whaaat?" you may gasp. "Candyaudioline--- without gadgets???" Yesiree. You read right.
Well, you know how 70's is so paranoid about noise (and rightly so, if you're being hounded by neighbors like that). so they were kind wary when allan told them we were fronting, but relaxed when he assured them that we were going to forfeit our gadgets just for them.
it was pretty weird when we were actually playing, but kind of refreshing to hear a subdued candyaudioline. for one thing, i really liked dennis' variations on the lead in some songs. buti na lang hindi na niya kinailangang "bungangain" yung effects niya ("weeeeweeewwwwweweweweeeew wuhwuhweeewweewwwnnnnhhh!"). astig nga eh. of course, we were still fumbling a bit, but we were able to pull it off ( a long set of about 7 or 8 songs!) despite complaints from certain people na "nagpapaka-obscure" kami. haha.
so we've proven na kaya natin ang mahina. that was good. :)
epilogue: i overheard the 70's guy fretting because the neighbor went up to the door during our set and claimed that the drums and bass were too loud. ano??? loud pa yun sa kanila? halos helehin na namin yung mga tao dun e...

continued...
haha! naku, sige, outing tayo sa room mo kiel. never pa kami atang nag-swimming sa banda (at least, since kasama ako sa lineup). happy birthday deanna!
i have pics from buzz night (only some bands i got to take), but i don't have them with me right now. tatapusin ko lang yung kuwento ko tungkol sa mayric's (kaya lang, medyo nakalimutan ko na rin yung iba)...
so yun... wala pa yung cheese at yung ibang front acts. we started setting up and we kept stalling for time. then we did an 8-song set! Medyo nakakapagod rin. Sabi ni Allan, perfect sana, kaya lang may himalang nangyari sa "My SIlver Chair" at biglang humaba ng todo dahil nagkandalitu-lito kami. Pero ok naman. Kumain na lang kami ng chicharon bulaklak after, at ok na ang lahat. Wala masyadong tao, kahit nung cheese na kasi umulan ng malakas nga earlier that night. Umuwi din ako ng maaga nun kasi may trabaho pa.

We first went to poblacion in makati for their fiesta. but before that, we tried to meet at rockwell. sabi sakin ni allan na sabay sina kiel at dennis so di daw nila kailangan ng directions. but at 4 pm, dennis started texting me about how to go there, so inisip ko na lang na sabay na lang kami at mag-taxi na kasi mukhang scary na naman ang langit. pagdating namin dun, di pa naman nag-text si allan so naisip kong kumain muna sa jollibee dahil gutom na ako (di kumain si dennis kasi kumain daw siya kina joel). Allan texted he would be late and Dennis and I were worried because we didn't know how to kill time since Powerplant looked so expensive. After listening to some conyo kid and his dad argue about going to the arcade, we decided to look for the others.
Tamang-tama kasi nakita namin si Kiel at Deanna 10 feet away from us as we were walking down the length of the mall. Meanwhile, nag-text si Allan na ready na kaming umalis, except that it started to rain REALLY BAD.
ANd for that, i'm running out of time. Basta, tumugtog kami ng 3 songs sa Poblacion. Ok naman dun. Kaya lang medyo held up kami kasi baha daw sa espanya at walang tao sa mayrics!
ay nako... kelangan ko nang umalis. sige. next time na lang. or itutuloy na lang ng iba. whichever comes first. bye.

kagabi sobrang badtrip sa kwarto ko! nagmistulang isang swimming pool na may waterfalls sa sobrang lakas ng tulo sa kisame! wla akong nagawa kundi magswimming na lang!!!!hehehe joke lang...BADTRIP TALAGA!!!
pagkatapos kong magswimming sa kwarto ko kagabi dumating sa bahay ung isang kaibigan ko at nagyayayang uminom! hehehe!!! sarap! nalasing ako ng sobra...di ko alam kung paano ako magigising sa sobrang kalasingan at tsaran! tumawag si allan sa cel at nagising ako!!! salamat allan at tumawag ka kundi malamang hanggang ngaun naghihilik pa rin ako sa kwarto kong may swimming pool at waterfalls!!
try nyong mag outing sa room ko siguradong maeenjoi kayo para kaung ngswimming sa boracay at namasyal sa Niagara falls!!! hehehehe!!!

ano ang pinagkaiba-iba ng marlets, jollibee(sa welcome), mister kabab at colasas?
- sa MARLETS, mabubusog ang tiyan mo sa kakakain at kakatawa habang pinananonood mo si dennis kumain. parang gusto ng magtalunan ng mga fried rice palabas ng kawali kapag dumarating na ang aming KOPONAN!!!hehehe!
- sa JOLLIBEE, nothing unusual, pero try mong pumunta at magdine-in dun ng alas 4 ng madaling araw, siguradong ung inorder mong chicken joy mapapanis kc di mo napapansin na kumakain ka pla! diba mga ate! hehehe!

- sa KABAB, masarap ang pagkain lalo na ang makapangyarihang upside down at ang laging nauubos na ox brain! madaming tao ang kumakain, kaya naman pagalis namin s lugar ay may stiff neck na ang aming KOPONAN. pero iba ang style ng isa naming team mate lugi kami may panakip sa kanyang mata na animoy isang tapaoho ng kabayo! astig!

gig tonight at mayric's
hey. medyo kinakabahan ako para mamaya kasi medyo pagod ako ngayon at di rin ako nakasama sa practice last sunday (sabi ni allan, gusto niya kasing mag-concentrate sa instrumental) kaya tuloy, slight lost ako ngayon. pero oks lang. excited din kasi makakatugtog uli. kahit papano, namiss ko rin yun. at excited din ako kasi medyo ang daming booking natin na nakalinya. excited ako sa UP kasi may pagkain tayo dun hehe, at kahit 3 songs lang tayo sa FOPC, di rin naman tayo mabibitin kasi may UPMBA gig pa tayo na medyo mas maraming kanta at mas maraming food and drink pa :)
medyo nababad trip lang ako dahil lagi akong pagod ngayon. Pano ba naman, ang aga aga ng pasok tapos medyo gabi pa yung candy activities, tapos sa kasawiang palad ay medyo malaman ako at kailangan kong mag-gym para makakain ng marami hehe. mahirap pala talaga magka 9-to-5 job at magbanda at the same time. kaya pala malnourished lagi si ralph dati (kaya lang, ba't di naman ako masyadong pumapayat gaya niya??? hehe). eto na nga't nasa office pako eh kanina pako dapat dismissed kaya lang deadlines, deadlines, deadlines...
hay. miss ko na nung nag-aaral pako. kaya lang, di rin ako pwede mag-aral ngayon kasi di ko alam kung anong aaralin ko. gusto ko ring magbakasyon sa probinsya. mga isang buwan hehehe. pero asa pa.
hemingways, wala lang. wala kasi akong maisip these days na relevant sa kendi blog kaya di ako makapagsulat lately. tsaka syemps, talung-talo naman ako sa mga entry nina allan at kiel haha :) so pasensya na kung pa-rant effect ako dito ngayon.
mmm. namimiss ko na yung squid and egg student meal ng mayric's. shet gutom nako. kitakits na lang mamaya.

Pano ba naman, ang aga aga ng pasok tapos medyo gabi pa yung candy activities, tapos sa kasawiang palad ay medyo malaman ako at kailangan kong mag-gym para makakain ng marami hehe. mahirap pala talaga magka 9-to-5 job at magbanda at the same time. kaya pala malnourished lagi si ralph dati (kaya lang, ba't di naman ako masyadong pumapayat gaya niya??? hehe). eto na nga't nasa office pako eh kanina pako dapat dismissed kaya lang deadlines, deadlines, deadlines...
hay. miss ko na nung nag-aaral pako. kaya lang, di rin ako pwede mag-aral ngayon kasi di ko alam kung anong aaralin ko. gusto ko ring magbakasyon sa probinsya. mga isang buwan hehehe. pero asa pa.

La lluvia cae como mis rasgones

sakit
haha! panalo ka forever, kiel, pag nagpopost ka. tawa ako ng tawa. bagay ka talaga sa bandang ito :)
nagulat nga ako nung nalaman kong may sakit ka. Nung monday pa naman, papunta akong penafrancia tapos di ko alam kung pano pumunta dun. sabi nina allan, text daw kita para samahan ako kasi taga dun ka, pero buti na lang di ko ginawa yun kasi may sakit ka pala.
basically, out of action lang tayo kasi nagkasakit si allan (di siya pwedeng umalis ng bahay), pero ngayon ok na siya. so we may be practicing sometime soon...

UNKNOWN VIRUS!!!
few days ago i text allan, and ask kung may mga happenings ba that night. And Allan replied and he said that he is sick. then i said "oo nga dito sa bahay ako lang walang sakit e"! and i also said na mgpagaling siya!... last saturday night mejo nakakramdam din ako ng sama ng pakiramdam. so Deanna and i went to a drugstore and purchase some medicines... kinabukasan ayun natuluyan na din ako... i had a severe flu! grabe hirap na hirap akong kumilos! yesterday night i texted Allan again and ask kung may happenings ulit. he said nasa work siya, and i said ako namn ung may sakit ngaun!
grabe ung VIRUS noh! di mo alam kung sino ang tatamaan! kaya Dens mag ingat ka baka ikaw nmn ang next na madapuan ng mga unknown virus! kaya mag DOMEX KA para malabanan natin ang mga unknown germs and viruses!!!hehehe!!! joke lang tsong!
Grabe kaya siguro nagkasakit ako kc halos 1 week akong d nakahawak ng drumsticks at nakakatugtug! kelan b tayo ulit may gig or practice?
and now mejo ok na ako! eto ngat nakapagpost na ulit ako! up to now i couldnt believe im a part of this blogger! grabe! dream come true talaga!
but the sad thing about me is, di na kmi makikita ng madalas ni Deanna kc Nakakulong na siya sa dorm ng hospital/school nya! grabe para siyang preso dun! I am so worried kc baka paglabas nya dun madami na siyang tattoo!!! hehehehe!!!

"BABY BOZANIAN"
looking back at the past few days of my being sick, i start to ask myself as to "why do birds suddenly appear, everytime you are here, just like me... " ngee!
seriously, being sick is one condition i really hate to be in. first of all, specially with a case such as mine, it's always life threatening. i remember on my first day (thursday), i could feel my heartbeat banging aginst the skin of my rib. it was beating so fast that if i take out the drumbeat from a Bloc Party song and replace it with my heartbeat you wouldn't notice any difference. the doctor from our bargangay said that i have to avoid coffee for the meantine. guess my "indie-ness" is also being jeopardized because coffee goes well with being indie...also he said that i should refrain from eating meat!!! meat pa - adobo, liempo, menudo, lechon. chiken curry, jollibee... yum yum! that's like life sentence or deprivation of one of my basic rights - the right to be happy.
also, being sick is financially exhausting, in my case, beng paranoid, i would go into self-priscription frenzy always ending up with the wrong choice of medication. by then you come to a point wherein you have to go to a hospital. if hospital fees weren't so expensive i'd love to be admitted. but it is not so. plus the fact that i fear needles. i won't elaborate, my detractors might use this against me in the "Court of Lawkohan".
i feel a bit okey now after going to chinese general hospital last night accompanied by selena, dennis and joel. the ambiance there is really very nice. compared to UDMC wherein the scenario is somewhat similar to any AXN reality tv comercial spot, the one at Chinese Gen is like being interviewed by Conan O'brien while "bubble gang" is rehearsing a scene just 5 meters away...
i feel reborn actually. another shot at a longer life... to my friends who never gets tired of reminding me about my physical health. thanks. kung alam nyo lang... ang nakikita lang kasi ng marami ang yung pag-kain ko, they never get to see my efforts. sometimes i do skip meals, i do light exercises which my current physical state can tolerate. during my bouts with insomia, i abstain from eating heavy rice meals using water or canned juice as alternative just to kill the urge...
so what does the title (BABY BOZANIAN) have to do with this entry... NOTHING!

queasy
Allan is sick. Yesterday, he suddenly felt severe chills and had a high fever. His blood pressure also shot to 150/100. I called him last night at 7pm and he could barely say anything intelligible, 'cause I think he was experiencing some kind of delirium.
This morning, he called and he sounded more like his usual self. He was even joking about his condition, but he's still sick and his doctor told him not to eat a lot in the next few days (attn: dennis and charles, wala munang marlet's!). He's staying in bed today to recuperate. When we said goodbye, he was about to call everyone back who was trying to call him last night.
Anyway, friends, I think he'd appreciate it if you'd check on him, either at his house or by phone or text.

candyaudioline birthmonth!!!
it's already june of 2005, and eventhough candyaudioline was conceptualized sometime may of 1997, i consider june to be candyaudioline's birth month. i can't really recall the exact dates but it was at the last week of may 1997 that i and then aspirin guitarist dino talked about forming a side project mainly because dino wanted to play drums and i had some songs that won't fit in with our mother band aspirin. within that week, while on duty for backbeat band teeth at club dredd, a friend of mine, obie introduced me to her sorority sis cheng and said that cheng wanted to sing in a band. i told dino that a line-up was almost complete and that we only need a lead guitarist to complete the line-up. i immedialtely thought of kelvin who also plays lead guitar for aspirin to join the band. he agreed. so it was me on backing vocals and guitar, cheng as lead singer, obie as the bassist, kelvin on lead guitar and dino on drums. armed with alarmingly goodlooks and without slightest clue of what we were all about, we decided to take over the world (...of our own). we had our practice during that last saturday of may 1997 at obie's place and would you believe that after more than 2 hours of noise, feedbacks and laughter, nothing came out of it... after that, we proceeded to sharkey's for a bonding sesion. another practice session followed a few days after (that was June already) which produced three songs (nearby town, painful and a cover of beatnik filmstars' 1 minute and 16 seconds track "skill")and a "ghost of a song" ("do we have to" although this song was actually jammed during the first practice session ). after pratice obie told us that she'll book us for a June "No Zone" gig and we all said "sige!". that same night, the band name was coined during another drinking session by dino and me. after naming many names which i seriously suggest to be left "unknown", dino suggested a title of a steroelab song, coming from an album that i recently gave him (or sold him i guess). the song was "jenny ondioline" from the album "transient random noise burst with announcements"... i like the sound of that name but there's something about the name jenny that i did not like so i suggested the name "candy". so it was "candy ondioline". still i wasn't satisfied and by pronouncing it in fast repetitions "ondio" began to sound like "audio" so it was settled right there and then that the band was to be called "candyaudioline" and as a single world only. we had another practice session and it was independence day of that year. this we did in marikina at "roberto's" there we where able to clean up the first three songs and complete "do we have to" (which we now call "we've been there") plus two new songs "painful" and "together"... "No Zone Nigh"t came and we were at club dredd early so that we could sound check but obie did come early. during sound check many of our then "indie" scenemates watched and after the soundcheck they were impressed although they thought we were a "lo-fi" outfit... (lo-fi was the in-thing that time). then came the actual gig... forgettable yet memorable...
that'll be it for the meantime... more canyaudioline trivia next time around...

maybe gig
ey peeps. someone might be getting us for a gig in a UP party sometime around mid-july. hope we can make it.
soft pillow kisses thing...
last friday, inaya ako ni lara manood ng cne. pumayag naman ako and i told her that sundays' the best day to go out since maluwag ang sched ko nung day na yun. at first i planned it to be a barkada outing but charles suggested that we together with our fellow "pillow mates" (including ex-members)make use of that day to re-kindle our "samahan" and re-establish the band as an active unit once more... but because of "personal" reasons the others (eloha, and jannpol)weren't available to make it that sunday night. i still decided to push thru with it since kasama naman si charles, at kahit paano, namimiss ko na rin yang si lara and selena has to attend to her sister's birthday. also, dennis wanted to tag along with us. and since he and charles hasn't been insulting each other for more than a day already, i decided to let him tag along. also, i was to meet january. dennis introduced be to her. they met at friendster where dennis asked her to sing for pillow.
sunday came and my day started with stomach discomfort accompanied by a slight headache. because of this, my plan of an early afternoon movie date with selena was cut short. still we went out at around 3:30pm and proceeded to megamall. she helped me buy a cd travelling pouch... we had to part at around 5:30pm because i had to be at a kamikazee gig sa megatrade 2 and she had to be home in time for her sisters' birthday bash. the kamikazee gig got delayed so i decided to go to mass first afterwhich i returned to the venue to wait for lara. while waiting, i texted january if she could pass by to get the soft pillow kisses cd and she said she'll be there by 7pm. lara arrived at around 6:45pm. i was quite relieved seeing that she looks fresh (meaning, she must have taken a bath... at last). we bought hotdog sandwich and refreshments and went backstage to chat some more. charles arrived 5 minutes later ang after a few hugs we sat down again and chatted some more... we learnd that lara's back at philam again and that she was able to convince her parents to give their place some re-working and that she's quite happy about it eventhough the re-working had to be dome all by hereself. we've also learned that she's been sessioning for fatal posporos as drummer (no commet...!!?#@*&%$@@##). by this time, dennis arrived looking hungry as usual. by this time. charles and dennis started their thing to lara's amusment. january texted me that she was at megatrade already and asked me to meet her up since she had no idea of what i look like and i did... charles accompanied lara to bench where she was to buy a pair of bras (?)leaving me and dennis to chat with january who seldom speaks tagalog. dennis almost died that time because he was so pressure to speak in english. i decided to chat with january. luckily, kamikazee was about to start their set. i was dangerously running out of english... by the time kamikazee was into their last song, (although i'm not sure if it was me or selena who called) i got to talk to selena. upon learning na i was with lara, charles, january and dennis. nainggit sya and ask me if she could join us. syempre naman payag agad ako. so i waited through kamikazee's autograph signing... she got there very quick and i accompanied selena to the where lara and company was at. after the autograph signing i went backstage to find lara, selena and january chatting while charles and dennis stared maliciously at the Jollibee super meals which was originally intended for the band and it's entourage. since no one seems interested, i decided to get some for them. we all ate backtage except for selena and january who continued on with their conversation. after that we rushed to the cinema to watch "madagascar". january had to leave us by then for she had work early the next day so i gave her the soft pillow kisses cd and lyrics so she clould to listen to them. all of us really enjoyed the movie. i was really laughing my guts out inspite of the discomfort brought about the the very "tight" chair to which i was seated... (FUCK SM! GateWay Rulezzzz!!!) maramni kaming (me, charles and dennis) kamukha sa movie na yun... puro naman mala-Lara yung mga mata... after the movie. we took selena home and went to colasas to eat some more and to talk about things concerning soft pillow kisses... we did get to eat but did not talk that much about pillow. i still have doubts about lara's sincerity... yun siguro pangit sa ugali ko... if you disappointed me big time, mahirap na kunin ang sympathy ko. although lara did assure me that she remains loyal and is waiting for a call from me. it can't take away for me the stigma of her not showing up at a gig (an important one at that). plus the feeling that she is "more happy playing as a tampon than a pillow". to make things worse she's filling up annette's place as fatal posporos' drummer...
after colasa's we took lara home to philam. many happy memories of being a soft pillow kisses member flashed before me while we were inside philam. the video marathons, the kain and cooking sessions, the tambayan sessions and most of all, the inuman session to which one birthday of mine was done there... i sought charles' oppinion and also that of dennis' both of them suggest that i should keep lara. so... i've decided to give it a try once more... but...
sunday came and my day started with stomach discomfort accompanied by a slight headache. because of this, my plan of an early afternoon movie date with selena was cut short. still we went out at around 3:30pm and proceeded to megamall. she helped me buy a cd travelling pouch... we had to part at around 5:30pm because i had to be at a kamikazee gig sa megatrade 2 and she had to be home in time for her sisters' birthday bash. the kamikazee gig got delayed so i decided to go to mass first afterwhich i returned to the venue to wait for lara. while waiting, i texted january if she could pass by to get the soft pillow kisses cd and she said she'll be there by 7pm. lara arrived at around 6:45pm. i was quite relieved seeing that she looks fresh (meaning, she must have taken a bath... at last). we bought hotdog sandwich and refreshments and went backstage to chat some more. charles arrived 5 minutes later ang after a few hugs we sat down again and chatted some more... we learnd that lara's back at philam again and that she was able to convince her parents to give their place some re-working and that she's quite happy about it eventhough the re-working had to be dome all by hereself. we've also learned that she's been sessioning for fatal posporos as drummer (no commet...!!?#@*&%$@@##). by this time, dennis arrived looking hungry as usual. by this time. charles and dennis started their thing to lara's amusment. january texted me that she was at megatrade already and asked me to meet her up since she had no idea of what i look like and i did... charles accompanied lara to bench where she was to buy a pair of bras (?)leaving me and dennis to chat with january who seldom speaks tagalog. dennis almost died that time because he was so pressure to speak in english. i decided to chat with january. luckily, kamikazee was about to start their set. i was dangerously running out of english... by the time kamikazee was into their last song, (although i'm not sure if it was me or selena who called) i got to talk to selena. upon learning na i was with lara, charles, january and dennis. nainggit sya and ask me if she could join us. syempre naman payag agad ako. so i waited through kamikazee's autograph signing... she got there very quick and i accompanied selena to the where lara and company was at. after the autograph signing i went backstage to find lara, selena and january chatting while charles and dennis stared maliciously at the Jollibee super meals which was originally intended for the band and it's entourage. since no one seems interested, i decided to get some for them. we all ate backtage except for selena and january who continued on with their conversation. after that we rushed to the cinema to watch "madagascar". january had to leave us by then for she had work early the next day so i gave her the soft pillow kisses cd and lyrics so she clould to listen to them. all of us really enjoyed the movie. i was really laughing my guts out inspite of the discomfort brought about the the very "tight" chair to which i was seated... (FUCK SM! GateWay Rulezzzz!!!) maramni kaming (me, charles and dennis) kamukha sa movie na yun... puro naman mala-Lara yung mga mata... after the movie. we took selena home and went to colasas to eat some more and to talk about things concerning soft pillow kisses... we did get to eat but did not talk that much about pillow. i still have doubts about lara's sincerity... yun siguro pangit sa ugali ko... if you disappointed me big time, mahirap na kunin ang sympathy ko. although lara did assure me that she remains loyal and is waiting for a call from me. it can't take away for me the stigma of her not showing up at a gig (an important one at that). plus the feeling that she is "more happy playing as a tampon than a pillow". to make things worse she's filling up annette's place as fatal posporos' drummer...
after colasa's we took lara home to philam. many happy memories of being a soft pillow kisses member flashed before me while we were inside philam. the video marathons, the kain and cooking sessions, the tambayan sessions and most of all, the inuman session to which one birthday of mine was done there... i sought charles' oppinion and also that of dennis' both of them suggest that i should keep lara. so... i've decided to give it a try once more... but...

Backbeat Birthday Bash
Okay. So none of us are tight buddies with any of the celebrants last gig (except maybe for Allan), but we sure did have some fun that night, just joking around and stuffing ourselves with some free food and beer, courtesy of Richard. The set itself wasn’t the highlight of the evening, although Allan did think that we gave a pretty decent performance.
Some memorable moments last gig:
1) Food-binging – I swear, that night was mostly about food. Right after our set, some carbonara, spaghetti and barbecue were served on the table, just beside the bar. My bandmates and I started digging from the serving platter. We kept on going back to the table until we were full. I also was able to get myself some free beer. By the time the gig was over, we helped ourselves some more with some servings of cake.
2) Bonding with Ezekiel and Deanna – Judging from my track record in playing with Caudioline, one can easily tell that I don’t mesh with the “new bandmates” right away. Last gig was witness to the exception to this pattern. Just a few minutes after all of us had arrived (except for Dennis who kept the stage waiting for him), Allan and I hit it off right away with Ezekiel and Deanna. It all started with just me and Allan talking about the usual nonsense and before I knew it, I was already alone with the two. This continued after our set. I was surprised to learn that I also have some common friends with Ezekiel (one was one of my closest buddies in one of my orgs in UP when I was still an active member). Deanna was really friendly. I was never close to any of my bandmates’ girlfriends except for Charmaine (now the wife of our ex-guitarist).
3) The Dennis and Ayn Adventure – We had to wait for a few more bands to finish playing before we could leave. During that time, I dared Dennis to go up the semi-abandoned building just beside Mayric’s. He took the dare but on one condition: I had to go up first. I agreed, so technically, I was the one who gave in to my own dare. The second floor was the only level where there were some occupants (dormers). The rest of the building didn’t have electricity and the rooms there were all locked up. By the time we reached the third floor, we could no longer see anything so I decided to take out my lighter which served as our light all the way to the top. You guys should have seen the face of Dennis when I continued on moving up to the fifth floor. He he.
4) He - _______ “__” to me.
5) Marlet’s (the place to be) – The guys wanted to eat at Marlet’s so I tagged along with them. As expected, Ezekiel, Deanna and Dennis ordered some liempo and fried chicken. Dennis continued living up to his "extra rice" reputation. Allan and I settled with the cheapest rice meal available since we weren’t that hungry. I ended up having a tummy ache. I had been eating too much that night.
6) Pasaway – Dennis and Allan rode with me in a cab from Manila to Philcoa. By the time we got to our respective homes (Dennis stayed with Allan), we chatted on YM and continued annoying each other with some audibles up until my internet connection got disconnected.

Updates on Myself:
1. We purchased a new oven recently and I've been baking choco chip and oatmeal cookies since then.
2. I've matured enough (in a span of one week) to let go of my frustrations of becoming a professional street hockey player.
3. I've decided to drop the "multi-thousand" deal I had before. I've found a new one. Hopefully, big bucks rin since it's California-based. Siempre, hindi call center 'yun. Something to do with dirt bikes, super cross, motor cross, cruiser bikes, Thor MX Racing... to satisfy my need for speed.

Hair Protein..
Alam nyo na ang pagkaen ay blessing ni God kaya hanggang may pagkaen pa dapat nde sinasayang d bah!? :) hehe akala nyo na matakaw ako nde totoo yan nagpapahaba lng ako ng hair ko hehehe..try ko kc gayahin ang style ni charles na lahat ng fuds na inintake eh sa hair nya napupunta nagiging hair protein.Uso ngaun ang malaria mag ingat kyo sa lamok hehehe...peace tyong lahat mga fren ku mag butterfly tyu! hehe.. :)

ayuz yang mga post nyo ah. nakakatuwa!!! yung kay kiel, ang drama, yung kay dennis naman ang takaw... dennis, sabi ni joel naka 5 rice ka raw sa tokyo tokyo! lupeth!!! doon ba sa limang rice na kinain mo, naisip mo man lang kaming mga kabanda mo? malamang hindi... kiel, ganyan talaga sa candy, kailangan tumataba ka kahit konti lang para "in" ka. ang pagkain ng sama-sama as a band ang syang magpapatatag ng samahan natin bilang magkabanda at higit sa lahat bilang magkaibigan. yan din ang nagbibigay ng ngiti sa mga MATA at ningning sa LABI ni dennis.
si dennis kakaiba talaga. sinama ko sa birthday party ng erpat ng isa kong kababata. syempre may inuman at maraming pulutan. pero iba ang napansin ko kay dennis, parang d kumpleto ang ngiti sa kanyang mukha. palibhasa wala nang kanin. kanin lang ang pwedeng magbigay saya kay dennis. pustahan tayo, d kaya ipagpalit ni dennis ang kanin kahit tapatan mo pa ito ng PhP1,000,000.00... Laban o Bawi! KANIN!!!

going back to my two new bandmates, masaya ako na masaya kayo sa pagiging candyaudioline. masaya rin ako kasi kung d dahil sa inyo, magmimistulang soft pillow kisses ang candy. meaning nandyan lang pero wala talaga. maliban doon, naging consistent pa rin ako sa target ko na "a new line-up must be FAR-BETTER than the previous one". bukod sa mas naimprove nyo pa yung mga songs in such a short span of time, mas higit na malakas kayong kumain kaysa dun sa dalawang pinalitan nyo. okey lang tumaba basta masaya!!!

My first rainy "Buzz Night gig"
First time ko ma experience n umuulan pag Buzznite hehe ang hirap pla kinailanagn ko kc manghiram ng damit dun sa friend ko na c Ian kc halos naligo nko sa ulan nun buti n lng nakahiram ako ng damit feeling ko nung time na un pra akong nasa "Water World" kc hangang tuhod na ung baha sa Tayuman buti na lang nkasakay ako ng jeep pa punta sa kanila at nag date kme ehehehe..buti n lng ok ung kinalabasan ng buzznite.
At last nakatugtog na din ang "Sofia Bolo" formerly known as "Children of Eden" sa Buzznite idol na idol ko kc un c Edward na guitarist nla na sobrang dame ng ginawa at tinulong smen mung tym na nagstart palang kme ng tether siya ang 1st source namen ng mga powers nung nde pa namen kilala c Allan hehehe..db Ezikiel!? nga pla sya ang dating kabanda ni Ian na kabanda ko na din ngaun ako ang ginawang replacement kay Edward...sya nag bigay smen copy ng "Loveless" na kinabaliwan namen ni Beejay ng husto yay! Ezikiel ok ung post mo ah!! tumaba ka nga ng konte ska lumaki ung tyan mo kaw b nman sumabay smen sa pagkaen tataba ka talaga pero alam naman nating lahat kung cnu talaga "ang hari ng kainan" c Charles un db Allan nampucha na alala ko tuloy pnag gagawa sken nung insektong un n kmukha ng bassist ng "Type Cast" hehe..kung ako ay virus isa k namang lamok!!! akala mo ahh..hehe peace na tyo mag shashare nko ng ulam ko i pramis :)

Utopia Realized
Oi Ezekiel!!! Buti naman at nakapag post ka na after 10,000 years. Teehee.

sa wakas, kiel. salamat sa pag-post mo dito. at ang tapang ha. meron ka pang personal chuva na nagaganap. hehe.
ba't wala ka na sa phil. violators? sayang din... ok yung performance niyo sa rajah sulayman. dahil nga lang ba sa age? naku, may ganun din naman na dilemma sa candy eh. hehe.
anyway, sobrang ok nga yung gig natin last buzz night. sana maging mas active pa tayo at makagawa ng mas maraming kanta, gamit ang mga kakayahan ng kasalukuyang line-up.
trivia lang: nakalimutan ko yung wallet ko sa bahay kanina. eh nakasakay nako ng bus sa buendia papuntang paseo. gud lak. kinailangan kong bumaba dahil kulang pa sa P5.50 yung pamasahe ko. ni hindi pako makasakay ng jeep. buti na lang, burara ako at may nahanap akong nakakalat na 3 P5 coins sa bag ko. hay. kaya lang, alas otso pa lang at pawis na pawis nako. ang baho ko tuloy. ako pa naman yung "mabahong mestiza" sa opis... e di lalo pang mare-reinforce yun. yehey. pero okay lang. di naman ako late. kaya lang wala na akong pang-breakfast. gutom nako.
