I'm So Tired...

Hello everyone...

It's been a long time since my last post... the reason is (drum rolls....), aside from work, is that i've become so frustrated with my other band (Soft Pillow Kisses) that i decided to shift my attention to something else... Since this is not Soft Pillow Kisses' Blog, i wont elaborate... But to give you a hint, it has something to do with the band's pride itself... maybe someday, everything's going to be fine again...

Just a while ago we played at Club Dredd... Elaine wasn't around (she's in La Union since Saturday pa yata) coz i forgot to inform her last week of the gig... it's a good thing that Apple (Moonstar88's "Road Star Manager")gave in to my "very very dramatic short notice (as in just last Monday afternoon)" request to session for us in place of Elaine...

I was a bit surprised as to how she fared during the gig... we were able to practice in 3 hours about 7 songs("An Empty You", "Better View", "Flaming Walls", "Felt So Fine", "We've Been There". My Silver Chair" and "All Smiles") last Monday... i was a bit in doubt because of the 7 songs we rehearsed, in only 3 songs ("All Smiles", "Better View" and "Felt So Fine") she did quite convincingly the other's were a bit questionable...

She did very well i guess during the gig... Of the 4 song we played, "All Smiles", "Better View", "Flaming Walls" and "My Silver Chair" it was only during "Flaming Walls" that her singing "dipped" quite a bit... She was even dancing during the songs with really her really big "Plastic Covered Lyric Sheet" in hand , talking to the crowd during breaks and she even made an effort to introduce us by our names but i quickly told her not to... it's not a bad thing really but i don't see it necessary for us to be introduced individuality...

Here we are, and this one's "Better View"...

Thanks Apple...

Bitin Kanina...

Hello everyone...

Candyaudioline played at Route 196 a while ago... it was quite fun although bitin nga lang... Elaine did well though she feels otherwise... Our guitars was sounding great although i wish the bass amp would have gone up a notch... We even made Selena (ex-candy Singer) sing in one song... hmmm, not much to write about the gig since i was too pooped out coming from a stressful stint doing RM chores for Moonstar88... although I was able to watch Mint Car (with Lara) playing drums and also Bagetsafonik's set but was so pre-occupied charging my stupid phone and also myself...

After the gig, me, Elaine and Rene, along with Lara and Alex of Mint Car went to Mr. Kabab for something to eat and anything to look at... we were disappointed to some extent since not much of a "view" presented itself and also no available "ox brain" as usual... Lara and Elaine did not attempt to do any of their "killer shock stunts" this time around... either they're just tired or maybe their still cooking up something for us to laugh about...

we might show up at 70's bistro this Monday... nothing sure yet... we'll just wait and see...

That's that for now...

Candyaudioline @ Route 196 May 9, Friday...

Hello everyone,

we will be playing at Route 196 this coming Friday, May 9...
The gig is billed as "School or Rock"... other bands that are slated to perform areas follows... Let's Go Streaking, Pin Up Girls, Shoulder State, Mint Car and Bagetsafonik (my personal fave)... Gate is charged at 150 per enrollee... hope to see you there...

Meanwhile here's something to compesate my laziness at posting Candyaudioline stuff... Taken last May 2, 2008 at Mayrics during Buzz Night...

We've been having a swell time for the past 4 and a half months with lots of gigs and some really goofy practice / tambay sessions... but as the title of a Soft Pillow Kisses song suggests "It Will Never Last (Forever)... Two months ago it was supposed to be "September's Not So Far Away" but i guess we just have to do with "July Skies"...

That's that for now...
