ako talaga ang gem ng candyaudioline... kahit sinong gitarista pa ilagay ko dyan as long as he likes the music or kahit na konti, would be able to appreciate it at makikinig lang sa akin ay siguradong makakapaglagay din sya ng magagandang sounds/riffs na mas makakapag-papaganda pa sa "already BEAUTIFUL songs koh" oh say nyo? walang kokontra, nagsasabi lang ako ng totoo.

history will prove me right and so will the future... from kelvin then AJ then Joey who had a very hard time surpassing AJ's mark, then Ralph. Charles is now able to do what Ralph has done and even better kaya lang he decided to pass the responsibilty to Dennis who's been able to do so a bit earlier than i expected... he's even adding some more to it...

seriouly, everything was due to good chemistry... during the early years of that line-up, everyone listened to me and in-turn was able to produce their own stuff which was (although not always) agreeable to what i was expecting from them... my detractors usually see me as a dictator when it come to my bands... TANGA LANG SILA!!! democratic ako noh!!! i'll let them try out their own ideas and would decide whether this one or that fits or not. oftentimes i give suggestions but would encourage my bandmates to make something more out of that suggestion... except for the vocals although i've tried letting all of my vocalists to suggest a melody. sa totoo lang naawa ako dun sa ibang nakaka-apreciate sa candy pero in an individualized level... example "hanep naman yung palong yun" or yung "paano mo ginawa yung tunog ng gitara mo"... wala lang.

okey, i'll let out something na d ko na sana kailangan sabihin pero here goes... it has something to do with ayn's bass lines. actually until recently, d talaga ako solve sa basslines sa ilang mga kanta namin. when i got joel to session for us i thought he'll be able to supply me with the basslines that i wanted to hear pero mukang iba rin yung orientation ni joel. nung tumugtog kami last april 11 sa mayrics doon ko narealize napaka-steady pala at very deciplined ng basslines (pwera lang sa we've been there) at bass playing nya (Ayn). malas lang ni ayn dahil bass lang sya, nagmuka tuloy pogi sina kel at dennis. Dahil sa bass playing ni ayn nabawasan ang pagka-chaotic ni kel at nag mukang perfect ang timing ni dennis sa mga adlibs nya. what more pa kaya if we get to seriously practice together pero malabo kasi nga yung mga sched natin d magkasundo...

hay naku... napagod ako dun.. GEMS do get tired sometimes...
