hello everyone...
here's some updates regarding this saturday's Buzz Night...
as of last night, this saturday's line-up has been trimmed down to just 6 bands... first to back-out yesterday was tether because their singer won't be able to make it for she'll be shooting a short film this weekend. sunsetdrive also texted me last night saying that some members won't be available this saturday... as for candyaudioline, i am still deciding whether to play without our vocalist... she also advised me (just barely 12 minutes after ekong of sunsetdrive texted me) that she's not available this weekend because of work related commitments...
oh well, this always happens to me... maybe i am cursed... whoever cursed me please take it off... it's really hard to put up an event when the participant's keep backing out at the last minute... i would really want this "buzz night thing" to blossom into something more that what it has been for the past few years of it's very sorry existence...
for me, at least, it's good to know that candyaudioline is still intact and hopefully be able to work things out together so that feature gigs will be played more better and tigher and a lot more enjoyable...
by the way, soft pillow kisses might be previewing 4 new songs this buzz night. actually it's just 3 new songs the fouth one called "taste like vintage wine" is actually the most recent candyauioline song i've done... this song has been played twice by candyaudioline already. one in pasig last jan 20 and the second time at mayrics last jan 23. i've decided to let soft pillow kisses do this one because it's more to their style as compared to candy's... infact, when we (SPK) did this last night during practice, i was so pleased with what came out of it... a bit different compared to what came out when pillow performed it last monday january 30. think of a more louder "ecstacy and wine" era my bloody valentine... the three other songs are called "under-cover angel" which is like belle and sebastian doing covers of rocketship and majestic songs. then there's another song, it's tentatively titled "your shoes are untied" which is like a beaumont song being clobbered by the trembling blue stars. finally, a song called "just like the sky". actually, this one's just fresh from last night's rehearsal session. think of 800 cherries, kahimie karie and remington super 60... yabang ano? pagbigyan nyo nalang ako... hindi naman masamang mangarap at magkunwari eh... hehehehe...
