not enough time to post...
lot's of things had taken place...
sunday and monday practice sessions were held to ready us for this weeks string of gigs and to arrange the eheads song "light years" which we chose to cover on the 17th up fair night...
tuesday february 14. valentines day... pillow played up fair...
wednesday february 15. candy played 2 great gigs. an afternoon gig at the chino roces side of MCS, we played 6 songs all precisely executed. we did the "light years" cover... according to a friend, "wow ang galing, yung kantang yun nagawa nyong panrang sarili nyong kanta..." the next gig was at the up fair. we played at around 12:30am. did three songs. "felt so fine", was a good choice for an openning so coz it helped pick-up where soapdish took off, second song "my silver chair" was a bit of an embarrassment but i think nobody noticed (or nobody really cared) then we did the Eheads song again, this time much confident that the one we did earlier... the crowd liked our set i guess polus the usual "congratulatory" ceremonies everytime you go down stage after a decent performance... parokya buwi asked me if i was thinking of "selling out" mainly because we did cover a mainstream act's song and a local one at that... i just smiled at him and told him that we just did that because meron ngang "headsfest" sa feb 17 (that's tonight) at wala na kaming time magpractice... don't worry buwi anything we do will always comply with whatever i think is appropriate for us. tingin ko maganda naman yung version namin ng song. very candy-ish... even selena who dropped by at our makati gig was so delighted by it... hehehe...
tonight we'll be at up again... hope we get to do better than the one we did last time around... see you...
by the way buzz night will be on the 4th of march...
i'll give some really note worthy account of things that transpired during the past few days once i get to free myself from the rigors of a busy work-sched and habitual self-loathing...
