Weh!!! She's Doing Very Well...

quite an ill-organized practice session we had last night due to some miscalculations of sort on my part as to what time we'd all be available for practice... but unforseen events sort of rocked my "planned" sequence and as a result we had to make do with what we had last night...

it was supposed to be a 3 hour thing with the first part being more of a one on one type of practice just give me an idea as to how she's progressed since the last practice we had a week ago... the 2nd hour should've been a shatter-my-eardrum-make-my-nosebleed approach wherein we'd be playing the songs at rediculously disturbing volume levels just to give me an idea if she's become more comfortable singing underneath all the noise we could dish out... the 3rd part would've been the laid back part with us playing out instruments at illegally low levels in preparation for a possible Popshoppe stint next week...

because i was like 15 minutes late, Maggot was (as usual) 30 minutes late while Kel and Dennis could not leave their respective work-post, "Wehcay" had to wait for a while, good thing Rene-Pillow-Indiepop was with her... i decided to start the session at around 10:45pm without Kel and Dennis... it was just 2 vocals, 2 guitars (with Rene helping out)and a bass... it was a bit productive and after and hour and thirty minutes, i was able to assess that she did improve a lot and we were able to add a song or two to Weh's repertoire... after an hour and a half, Dennis and Kel arrived... we tried doing the laid back set but after 3o minutes we decided to go full blast... it wasn't what i intended but it wasn't a waste of time either... She's doing very well right now although still far from what i think she can truly be... Now she's able to sing these songs...

Light A Candle
Something Wrong
Wicked Glances
Painful
Discarded Toy
Cellophane Smiles
We've Been There
Better View
Pretend That We're Smart
An Empty You
Flaming Walls
Sad Inside
All Smiles
Felt So Fine
Can't Sleep
My Silver Chair
Nearby Town
Waste My Time

18 songs in all, although she still needs to familiarize herself more with the songs and how it's sung... still 18 songs is a lot already plus 4 practice sessions and 1 proper gig... Another practice is scheduled next Monday and hopefully we get to Play next Wendnesday (Popshoppe) and another one on the 20th at Mayrics...
