this is nothing new... as of last week, another incarnation of candyaudioline is in the making. we have a new drummer and a session bassist...

Hello Everyone...

Last night, me and mavi got to play some candyaudioline some with the help of ex-candyaudioline members Ayn and Ralph with Ayn's boyfriend Jeff helping out with the drums...
We played two gigs... one at 70's Bistro and the other one at Mayrics... Both gigs were really great, Specially the one at Mayrics... I guess I'll miss this one for a vey long time...

Just like the old days when Candyaudioline was at it's peak... tight, confident and very loud... i'll post more details in the days to come...

I would like to thank ex-candymates Ralph and Ayn for Giving me an opportunity to play with them once more. Actually, it was ralphs idea that we get together and play some candy-songs... Thanks too to Jeff, you really made the songs sound great again... sana sya nalang naging drummer ko sa kahit anong banda ko!!! To Roel, thanks for being such a sport... paayos mo kasi yung phone mo para di ka mahirap mahagilap... to Selena, meron pa ring next time... and to to Mavi for making payag to my request na sya yung kumanta for both gigs... To Dennis too for setting up for me sa sobrang jam-packed na mayrics... I guess sobrang bag-enjoy din yung crowd sa amin... especially Kuhkees...

after a few hours downloading the songs.. he listened all songs that he
just downloaded. he was shock..that..all of the songs seems
interested...and he couldn't believe it..that it comes from
phillipines. it's not like one of those..original band like.."parokya
ni edgar".

a little review....

soft pillow kisses so fucking great ! sounds like blueboy... indiepop full
with nice guitar sound and those sweet voice... is so unique
it's 5 minutes track seems so fast..and makes me want it to play it all
over again n again.

apple orchard... is like the combination of shoegaze and indie pop with
male vocal..and have a very good english accent if u listen to it..u'll
never know that the songs is from phillipines good recording and very
surrounding sounds. the envy you men !

collour contest - this one is a twee pop band...more like a sweedish
band with a male vocal, very similiar with the acid house kings when
johan's singing.

Off Topic Lang Po...

hello everyone...

during the past few days, i've been so annoyed with a lot of things...

Item #1 "what is indie?"... por dyos por santo por pabor... tatapusin ko na ang tanong na ito sa pamamagitan ng isang declarasyon... "punyeta!!! ... walang tamang indie sa punyetang bansang ito...!" kung ano ang kahulugang alam nyo, yung na yun. ganyan talaga dito sa pinas, kaka-iba lahat... kaya nga may only in the Philippines sa slogan eh...

Item #2 Yung dalawang komentarista during the Pacquiao fight... i forgot the names pero ...tang-ina nyo naman... halatang-halata ang pagiging biased nyo... mahiya naman kayo sa mangilan-ngilang matinong Filipino na katulad ko... a-anuhin mo ang glory kung d ka naman lumugar sa tamang lugar... may nalalaman pa kayong "Manny is not 100%... bullcrap chong"... competition yun... katangahan na ng isang participant kung lumaban sya na hindi sya physically or mentally prepared... ano yun pang deny ng credit just in case di manalo ang manok natin... isang malaking tae!!!

Item #3 si pacquiao mismo... t.o. talaga ako during an interview sa isang t.v. news program... ayoka na i-elaborate pero may kinalaman sa kayabangan bigtime... eh panu kung nayari ka nung third round ano kaya sasabihin mo?

Item #4 yung ginagawang publicity ng GMA sa captain barbell... dude. pls naman... lumugar kayo... gagamitin pa ang superman para makapagbring-up ng walang kakwenta kwentang item tungkol sa seryeng iyon... tae ulit...

Item #5 yang mga hiphop na pinoy na feeling egot... kaya wala tayong sariling identity eh... "wassup yoh..." hello!!! okey lang kayo... yung mga negro kahit hindi maligo yan bagay sa kanila dahil sila talaga yan... to anyone concerned, pls, in doing so, look at the mirror and kindly kill yourself... pack the islangee accent...

Item #6 mga taong d marunong magpahalaga sa oras at effort ng kapwa nya... naku ang dami nyan... lalu na sa bisyong ito... ewan ko ba... dapat nagpapaka-manhid nalang ako cguro...

pero d ko kaya eh... kaya nga eto ako at inis na inis pa rin...

hello everyone..

before anything else, i would like to thank those who have sent me their comments regarding the video i posted sa youtube... yup, promise i'll try next time around to put up a more decent one... ano magagawa ko, wala naman akong alam sa ganito ano... sa mga naka-appreciate... sobrang salamat din... i'm trying to put up another one for flaming walls using the same session with an old audio recorded by the previous line-up...

last saturday was buzz night and as usual, naghabol nanaman ako because sobrang short notice... it was supposed to be this week pero di yata kami nagkaintindihan ni eric - meyrics owner... oh well, of the 8 bands slated to perform, only 4 was able to play... first up was soft pillow kisses who played quite well with arjay of candyaudioline pitching in at the last minute playing bass... thanks arjay... next up was tether who played their guts out... they're hands down band of the night... their vocalist sang quite well which reminded me of the singer of echobelly. medyo T.O. nga lang yung pagsayaw nya pero, the hell with the dancing! the songs are more important... next month ulit ha... then came lazy lorelie, a bit off compared to last month's set but still they were enchanting nonetherless... candyaudioline played last, we were supposed to do an ambushe-concert of sorts planning to play something like 10-12 songs buy our vocalist wasn't really up to it... she was in a bad mood of sorts. still we did about seven songs and i could say we played very well except during "nearby town" and "painful" wherein the drumparts (again) was executed differently...

after us followed another band, i think the name was Hampas Lupa, yup they're a Metal Band!!!
actually they asked me if i could put them up in the line up but i politely declined but since it was only about 12:45am, i told them that they could play right after canyaudioline's set... they finished their set 30 mins after and had a short chat with one of the members. i was quite surprised that they had some idea of the music that we played and one member i think is associated with an indiepop band who a one point was one of the most matched band during buzz nights...
